Ankeny & Des Moines
We share God’s love in our neighborhood and beyond through hands-on action as well as through financial support. APC dedicates ten percent of its pledged income to its mission and participates in numerous service activities. Click on the links below to learn about some of the local ministries through which we pursue God's vision for a better world.
Ankeny Presbyterian Church serves as one of the two “Love Lunch” sites in the Ankeny community. The goal of this program is to supply a free lunch during the summer months to those in need (especially children). APC, along with volunteers from four other churches, serves lunch from 11:30 to 12:30 five times a week during the summer when school is not in session. In 2022 over 5,600 lunches were served at APC (75% to children and youth).
