Since 2003, APC has joined nine other congregations in Central Iowa who have partnerships with small moutainside communities near Berlin, El Salvador as a mission of the Des Moines Presbytery.
This mission partnership has a long-term focus - to develop relationships and understanding between both groups - as well as supporting short-term projects for the benefit of the community.
A few of the accomplishments include:
- purifying water filters for homes
- school supplies
- fertilizer
- bean seeds
- latrines
- Corozal church building
